Join Special School District (SSD) as an Assistant Manager in Facilities a leadership role that helps keep our schools and facilities safe functional and ready to support students and staff every day. Working alongside the Facilities Manager you will help lead a skilled maintenance team coordinate daily operations and solve the challenges that come with caring for buildings used by thousands of students employees and visitors. Your ability to balance priorities support your team and keep projects moving will help ensure District facilities remain welcoming dependable and well-maintained. Behind every classroom office and learning space is a team committed to making sure the environment supports the important work happening inside and you will play an essential role in that mission.

The Assistant Manager works at our Distribution Center at 700 Fee Fee Rd Maryland Heights MO 63043 Monday through Friday. Nights and weekends are occasionally required.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in building maintenance required

Certificates Licenses Registrations

  • Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Awareness training required
  • Forklift certification required
  • Missouri Class E drivers license required
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction or General Industry Training Card or certificate required
