Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Electronic Resources Management to join the Hunt Library. This position provides strategic oversight of the librarys electronic resources program supporting the teaching learning and research mission of Embry-Riddles Daytona Beach Prescott and Worldwide campuses. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director for Collection Strategy & Technical Services the Assistant Director of Electronic Resources Management leads the planning acquisition licensing assessment and lifecycle management of the librarys electronic resources. The position manages more than $2 million in annual electronic resource expenditures supervises the Access & Discovery Librarian and collaborates with colleagues across the Hunt and Hazy Libraries to ensure seamless sustainable access to electronic resources. The successful candidate will join the Hunt Library () on the Daytona Beach campus working regular business hours. Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the planning acquisition licensing implementation assessment renewal and lifecycle management of the librarys electronic resources.
  • Manage the librarys electronic resources budget currently exceeding $2 million annually including budget monitoring financial analysis expenditure tracking and long-term planning.
  • Negotiate electronic resource licenses and vendor agreements while maintaining productive relationships with publishers vendors and university stakeholders.
  • Lead the assessment of electronic resource collections using usage statistics cost-per-use analysis financial data and other assessment measures to support evidence-based collection development.
  • Supervise mentor and support the Access & Discovery Librarian providing leadership for the Electronic Resources Unit through workflow coordination goal setting and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Access & Discovery Librarian to support authentication discovery services electronic resource access and management of the Hunt and Hazy Libraries AZ database lists.
  • Oversee electronic resource reporting usage statistics and data management using COUNTER/SUSHI standards library analytics tools and library management systems.
  • Participate in library planning committee work professional development and other initiatives that advance library services and the universitys mission.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience managing electronic resources budgets and workflows in an academic library.
  • Experience negotiating electronic resource licenses and vendor agreements.
  • Experience with library management and discovery systems such as Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE (or comparable) authentication platforms such as OpenAthens COUNTER/SUSHI standards collection assessment and analytics tools (e.g. Alma Analytics and CELUS) and enterprise financial management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise mentor and collaborate effectively with colleagues vendors and other campus stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-campus environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications particularly Excel.
  • Experience working in a multi-campus academic library environment.
  • Experience with collection assessment cost-per-use analysis or evidence-based collection development.
  • Project management experience.
