Assistant Director of Bands-Percussion Specialist
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree
Valid Texas teaching certificate K-12 Music
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to motivate students
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of electronics a plus
Experience:
Experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach and manage the percussion studio grades 6-12
- Organize and implement all percussion sectionals
- Organize and manage all electronics for the marching show
- Organize and conduct the sixth grade band
- Organize and supervise the band trailer and student crew
- Team teach the fifth grade music course
