Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Baseball Coach to join their team.

About this Opportunity:

Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach the Assistant Coach for Baseball is responsible for assisting in the successful operation of the University of Washington Baseball program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes. Assist with administrative duties and public relations participate in Husky Baseball clinics fundraising activities and the ongoing support and development of student-athlete academic success. (40%)
• Coach athletes including the mechanics of assigned specialty areas and development of highly completive skills. Participate in the administration and planning of practices and strength and conditioning programs. Provide a blueprint for a successful approach to the mental aspect of the game. (40%)
• Participate in the organization development and implementation of a championship Division 1 baseball program. Build and maintain positive working relationships with coaches staff and athletes. Work towards goals of excellence in all aspects of the program representing the University of Washington Athletics Department and program with the highest professional and ethical behavior. (20%)

• Bachelors degree and a minimum of one year of successful playing or coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.

Additional Qualifications

• Successful playing or coaching experience may substitute for educational requirements.
• Proven ability to relate to student-athletes.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Excellent organizational verbal and written communication skills.
