The Assembler II is responsible for performing repetitive mechanical and/or electrical assembly tasks that require precision dexterity and attention to quality. This role involves assembling components following detailed instructions and ensuring adherence to safety and production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production
Perform repetitive mechanical and/or electrical assembly tasks with precision and accuracy.
Assemble components and products following detailed instructions and programmed sequences.
Work with minor variations of in-house standard products.
Follow assembly processes including color coding PVC thermal welding and thread taping.
Read and interpret simple layout diagrams and assembly drawings.
Tools & Equipment
Utilize hand tools power tools jigs and fixtures to complete assembly tasks.
Demonstrate strong hand-eye coordination and equipment handling.
Quality & Documentation
Follow all safety and product quality policies and guidelines.
Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain quality standards.
Safety & Compliance
Successfully complete site-specific safety and quality training.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Conduct daily housekeeping and 5S activities.
Team & Customer Focus
Support internal and external customer expectations.
Contribute to team productivity and operational goals.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
3 5 years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience technical training or hands-on activities.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical assembly processes.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to read simple assembly drawings and layouts.
Good communication skills and teamwork.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Ability to bend reach push pull and climb stairs occasionally.
Work in varying conditions:
Temperature range from 0 F to 120 F
Exposure to noise requiring hearing protection
Dust dirt and industrial environments
Ability to use computers and communicate via phone.
Work Environment
Onsite manufacturing/production environment.
Combination of indoor and outdoor conditions.
Exposure to industrial workspace conditions (concrete floors machinery etc.)
