Job Summary
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
We are seeking an experienced Architect that will support U.S. Navy facilities and infrastructure projects based at the Government facilities onboard NSA Naples Italy. You will provide architectural expertise throughout the planning design and construction phases collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional code-compliant and high-quality facility designs.
This position is contingent upon contract award. If awarded the contract will have a potential period of performance of up to five (5) years.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide professional architectural support for the planning design construction maintenance renovation demolition space utilization and facilities development of Navy Marine Corps and other Supported Command projects including MILCON and special projects.
- Review and provide recommendations on third-party designs programming space planning concept development sustainable design code compliance drawings specifications and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams to ensure coordinated code-compliant and project-specific designs.
- Apply architectural design principles throughout all project phases including programming space planning concept design design analysis construction documentation and project support.
- Ensure compliance with DoD Navy International Building Code (IBC) Life Safety Code and other applicable standards and regulations.
- Utilize Autodesk Microsoft Office and architectural design and analysis software to support project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports design analyses presentations and recommendations while supporting project planning budgeting and team coordination.
- Comply with applicable safety policies guidance and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program or equivalent NCARB-approved experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional architectural design experience including new construction and renovation projects with code-compliant facilities design.
- At least one year of experience on Federal Agency facilities projects.
- Registered Architect (RA) licensure is desirable.
- Must have a valid US drivers license.
