About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Web Application Developer to support the enhancement maintenance and ongoing development of a large-scale enterprise web application used by multiple public-sector agencies. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative Agile team environment focused on critical data-driven systems.
Must pass a background check drug screening and reference check as part of onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Support a mission-critical web application used across multiple agencies
Perform analysis development testing and debugging for enhancements and bug fixes
Collaborate with developers stakeholders and business users to gather and validate requirements
Work through backlog items user stories and application improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a production environment
Assist with application maintenance and support activities
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives)
Support system documentation testing processes and issue resolution tracking
Provide occasional end-user support and interaction
Assist with reporting and batch process support as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications
3 years of experience in web application development or support
Experience with application maintenance enhancements and bug fixing
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
This role involves supporting a high-visibility mission-critical system
Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative stakeholder-facing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting enterprise-level or multi-user systems
Exposure to public sector government or justice-related systems
Experience working with systems shared across multiple agencies
Familiarity with SQL/databases and reporting tools
Experience with backlog management tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps)
Background in production support environments with direct user interaction
