Application Engineer
Application Engineer - Duties are provide technical engineering & customer liaison support services for engine & electrified powertrain test systems integration development commissioning & troubleshooting mechanical infrastructure battery e-motor and emission measurement systems including commission test cells high speed data acquisition systems & driver robots for vehicle testing; implement & tune control loops; integrate simulation models & auxiliary equipment into test systems; create commissioning documentation; conduct test bed data acquisition automation software review of test cycles & screens for test systems; service troubleshoot & calibrate industrial drives dynamometers & measurement & conditioning devices; write scripts to automate custom processes; & provide training to customers on system applications. Requires Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronic Engineering or related field & 5 yrs exp in job duties. Position is with AVL Test Systems Inc. out of Plymouth MI but allows for the option to live anywhere in U.S. & work from a home office. Position entails 40% travel to clients throughout the U.S. May require individual to work at various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. Send resume to AVL Test Systems Inc.
