Join the StandardAero Houston (IAH) team and become a part of a Business Aviation MRO with over 50 years of industry leading expertise. As an experienced Corporate A&P Mechanic (Licensed Mechanic II) youll be supporting the maintenance and inspection of mid-sized corporate this role youll perform detailed airframe maintenance troubleshooting and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet Embraer Challenger Gulfstream and Falcon aircraft. Youll work in a collaborative high-performance MRO environment where safety precision and teamwork drive success.
What Youll Do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
- Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
- Conduct operational checks engine runs and leak checks to verify serviceability.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic landing gear flight control and other airframe systems.
- Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals blueprints and technical data.
- Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
- Accomplish Service Bulletins Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
- Document all work performed clearly accurately and in compliance with StandardAero procedures.
- Adhere to all safety environmental and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of A&P experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan engine corporate aircraft.
- Experience performing heavy maintenance (C&D checks) on Gulfstream Challenger Falcon Hawker Learjet and/or Embraer aircraft.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience in an MRO or Service Center environment.
- Factory-authorized training on Gulfstream Falcon Challenger Embraer Learjet and/or Hawker aircraft.
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
