Holiday Requirements If the assignment includes end-of-year holidays: If Thanksgiving Christmas and New Year s all fall during the assignment the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays . If only 2 holidays fall during the assignment the traveler must be willing to work at least 1 of the 2 holidays . Rehire Eligibility Former Permanent Staff Must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler through Qualivis. Former Travelers Travelers who worked a full year assignment must be away for 1 full year before returning. If a traveler was previously employed by the facility (perm or travel) contact the AM to confirm rehire eligibility before submission. Floating Expectations RNs may be floated between: Like units Campuses within a 20-mile radius Floating between campuses is rare unless specifically stated in the job posting. Traveler Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent experience required for all specialties 3 years preferred Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment Must hold: An active RN license in the state or A compact RN license that complies with the NLC guidelines EPIC experience preferred Education Requirements A BSN is only required for: Le Bonheur Children s Methodist Rheumatology Centralized Staffing Positions (Float Pool) All other positions accept an ADN . Profile Credentialing Requirements Clearly list the traveler s best contact time on their profile. If certifications will expire during the assignment include a documented renewal plan on the profile. Example: BLS expires 5/30/18 Sydney is enrolled in a renewal class on 5/7/18.
