SLP will be the only SLP in this department. Current caseload is 9 patients with various diagnoses including CVA dementia CHF COPD DM2 dysphagia aphasia and other cognitive impairment is preferred. We do have an an electronic medical record but use a SOAP note format when appropriate for documentation. This facility has a large population with cognitive impairment. An ideal candidate would have special training or certification in working with patients with dementia. This position is shared between Ellen Sagar Nursing Center and Woodruff Manor. The therapists who have been in these facilities have been at Ellen Sagar 3 days and Woodruff Manor 2 days weekly. Travelers have ONE chance to pass. Pass/Fail testing required. Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test required for all units. Moderate Sedation Test required for OR ICU and Endo. Compliance documents are due 5 business days prior to the travelers scheduled start by EOD eastern time (starts are typically on Mondays but can also be on Wednesdays) Candidate must go into the lab within 24 hours after signing SRHS does have an attendance policy for travelers.
