Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesManage team of Operational Buyers and the Government and Defense / Attachment team KPIsGenerate weekly reportsWork with Group Purchasing to support JCB Service - Includes pricing lead times MOQs and key purchasing responsibilitiesNegotiate NA domestic pricing and process / approve price change requestsActively pursue cost savings opportunities to meet team / group purchasing goalsCreate new schedule agreementsInvestigate invoice issues and work with suppliers to resolveSet up new vendors and extend part numbers in SAPProcess Techwebs as requiredWork closely with planning team to troubleshoot / address any supplier challengesWork with NPI team to ensure JCB Service is included in the process and ready for launch of new productVendor evaluation (on site reviews)Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBS Engineering or BA Business5 years purchasing experienceMust pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable Skills Abilities & CompetenciesProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel: Advanced Level) applications and ERP Purchasing system (preferably SAP)Demonstrated ability to delegate and manage tasks issued to independent reports such as suppliers and cross functional team membersKnowledge of product costing accounting in a component of manufacturing environment and commodity pricing and foreign currenciesEffective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of managementSkilled in project management reporting and presenting information and statistical analysisPracticed in negotiations and conflict resolutionAbility to read and interpret bill of materials engineering drawings standards and specificationsExperience with the product development and NPI process from Concept to Production Release (ISIR/PPAP)Knowledge of product costing accounting commodity pricing and foreign currenciesKnowledge of international trade requirements for importing and exporting products INCO termsUnderstanding of implications and challenges related to domestic and international sourcingExperience with standard practices legal requirements and international purchasing terms and conditionsAutonomous and entrepreneurial work ethicKnowledge of supply chain materials management and road/ocean freightJob ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory to noise and temperature RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required of an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
