Job Summary
AEROSPACE WELDER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welds metal parts together using both GMAW and GTAW processes
- Operates Robotic Welding Machine
- Performs related tasks such as hand grinding and rolling of Sheetmetal
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Dimensionally and visually inspect parts for adherence to customer requirements prior to NDT being inspected on parts.
- Reads routers blueprints and sketches of part to determine dimensional specifications and operating requirements
- Performs required preventative maintenance procedures on assigned welding equipment within specified time frames
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- You must have at least 1 to 2 years of GTAW experience
- The ability to pass the supplied Robotic Welding Class.
- Must be able to qualify to AWS D17.1 class A.
- Blueprint reading ability to interpret welding symbols and call outs on prints provided...
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English as required.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to learn new welding techniques with the different types and grades of steel that you work on.
- Ability to weld thickness ranging from .063 and thicker.
- The ability to lift 40lbs safely.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
