What youll do:

Loyola University Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our inpatient Gastroenterology team. This role provides advanced clinical care in an acute care setting managing a diverse population of patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions.

The APP will work both independently and collaboratively with attending physicians fellows nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal conditions including liver disease GI bleeding inflammatory bowel disease pancreatitis and other acute GI disorders
  • Perform detailed patient assessments including history physical exams and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the GI team
  • Manage inpatient consultations and follow-up care ensuring timely evaluation and intervention
  • Order interpret and act on laboratory imaging and procedural results
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice and assist with GI procedures as needed
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams including case management and ancillary services
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatment plans and post-discharge care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice standards
  • Maintain high standards of care aligned with Loyola Medicines mission and values

  • CPR Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Nursing Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN)
  • Nursing Nursing Practitioner License State of Illinois (APN)
  • Physician Assistant License State of Illinois (PA)

Comp- Pay Range: $109304 - $180336 per year

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
