About Us

The North Carolina Department of Justice led by the Attorney General of North Carolina represents the state state agencies and elected officials and defends the rights of the people of North Carolina. The Department handles all state criminal appeals cases and assists district attorneys with complex criminal cases at their request. Additionally the Department of Justice includes the North Carolina State Crime Lab the North Carolina Justice Academy and the Sheriffs and Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Divisions.

Description of Work

Recruitment Range: $41206- $49440

This position serves as administrative support for the Financial Services Section.

This includes but is not limited to:

*Management of mail for Finance
*Open date stamp review and distribute incoming mail
*Maintain and scan A/P files file into batches
*Pulling records for Public Record requests
*Scanning invoices
*Making copies

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

  • Thorough knowledge of services policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization. Thorough knowledge of program information systems in order to communicate and process information.
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply this knowledge in performance of administrative tasks. Ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
