Job Summary
JRIs Health Division is looking for an Administrative Coordinator/HR Representative located in Jamaica Plain MA interested in human resources and administrative work in the social justice field as well as health and human services. JRI is a leader in social justice and one of the largest non-profit human service agencies in New England with over 100 programs and services. JRI Health is a division of Justice Resource Institute (JRI) that provides social justice and health and human services support to programs providing Housing Legal Advocacy Peer Support Medical Case Management Sexual Health services and much more.
Schedule:âMonday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-site)
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.50 to $33.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
In this role you will:
- Support hiring managers throughout the hiring process including required background checks and onboarding.
- Create and maintain all staff personnel files including coordination for audits.
- Prepare and process Payroll Action Forms for all employees.
- Ensure employees have accurate and updated benefits information and respond in a timely manner to all questions.
- Provide support to the Division in accessing JRIs human resource systems including UltiPro Company Mileage Workers Compensation Claim processing Benefits Staff Training Compliance and enrollments etc.
- Process applications and support employees and managers with Paid Family Medical Leave FMLA Long-term Disability etc.
- Serve as a liaison to JRIs corporate Human Resource department ensuring the Divisions compliance with all human resource policies and procedures.
- Lead key human resource initiatives for the Division such as open enrollment.
- Process and maintain all required State and Local Building Inspections.
- Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of employee information in accordance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Manage database systems for mailings fundraising efforts and background requests.
- Oversee maintenance of office equipment and supplies; order as needed.
- Design and publish media materials for special events.
- Schedule coordinate and facilitate special events fundraisers and meetings.â Coordinate with vendors volunteers and staff.
- Serve as the Safety Officer for JRI Health.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Division as needed including without limitation data entry front desk coverage and special projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Experience in the health or human services field preferred.â
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide array of populations including people experiencing housing instability and substance use issues; people living with HIV/AIDS; people living with mental health issues; funders and donors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Must be able to create record keeping and tracking systems for streamlining job functions as needed; strong internet research skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently while supporting the administrative team.
- Candidate should haveâexcellent organizational skills attention to detail ability to problem solve ability to multi-task and determine task priorities strong initiative and excellent follow-through.
- Must have an active drivers license and willing to occasionally travel to JRI Health and Corporate sites as needed.â
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
