Job Summary

Position:Administrative Assistant PT JCCC Dining

Department: Finance & Administrative Services

Type of Position: Part-time Temporary

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule Hours per week: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday - Friday up to 20 hours per week

Opportunity for hybrid schedule:No

Starting Salary Range: $15.68 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Perform a variety of administrative support duties for Johnson County Community College Dining to ensure communication and inventory operations are efficient and smooth. Communicates Dining information through email social media and website. Assists with inventory tasks and in-person events. This position reports to Assistant Director JCCC Dining.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • Detail oriented and ability to remain highly organized.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with creating assets in Canva or other graphic design program.

Position detailsinclude but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to JCCC Dining Assistant Director: Compose email newsletter drafts based on events calendars and special menus. Gather assets such as product pictures and marketing materials for inclusion.
  • %Maintain website content and co-run social media accounts: Work as part of a team to create content and gather or create assets to communicate current items and promotions in JCCC Dining.
  • Assist with inventory: Learn to receive and document receiving of product for JCCC Dining. Enter physical count activities monthly into inventory software
  • Assist with In-person Dining Events: Be present and participate in promoting JCCC Dining to attendees of events at the College. May involve handling food or drinks.
  • Other duties as assigned: Duties and responsibilities as required by business necessity may be updated at any time at the discretion of management.
