Job Responsibilities:
General Job Duties:
- This position is responsible for the development of complex and unique cost estimates with supporting rationale for presentation to management and our customers.

- To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.
- To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the departments established procedures and work instructions.
Specific Job Duties:
- To direct and follow Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees contractors and visitors.
- Exemplify the Charter principle for a safe and healthful workplace by correcting unsafe behaviors eliminate or reduce the possibility of an employee injury due to hazardous conditions.
- Immediately respond in a positive and proactive manner to any Decostar employees health and safety concern or suggestion.
- Immediacy report any accidents incidents or near misses to the Safety Department and complete the required Accident Reporting Forms within 24 hours.
- Complete all required safety-related inspections.
- Do not install or make changes to any equipment or machinery that may jeopardize the health and safety of any employee.
- Ensure all employees under your guidance have received all required training to perform their job safely
- Interface with customers management and staff to insure that the customers needs are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review customer work statements and other proposal data to specify and coordinate proposal input from other departments (Engineering Purchasing Manufacturing etc) within the organization.
- Provide full administrative support including coordinating scheduling preparing and reporting on quote reviews.
- Collect organize and analyze all proposal input from pertinent departments.
- Prepare cost estimates using Bills of Material sketches and verbal descriptions / customer specifications including engineering design analysis.
- Research and analyze data from previous business awards to evaluate and adjust current estimates.
- Develop functional estimates for specific labor tasks and material requirements.
- Insert proposal details into the required customer quotation response format(s) ensuring 100% accuracy of calculations appropriateness and completeness of content.
- Maintain analysis of estimated versus actual costs.
- Initiate and coordinate the process of review and development of quote capital requirements with the required departments.
- Input contract pricing information in Decostars data management system.
- Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing processes including value engineering.
- Support management reviews customer audits and proposal negotiations.
- Maintain control of all contractual documents including specifications contracts proposals and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of NAFTA/AALA/CO certification for customers.
- Assist in updating and maintaining customer electronic change request management system and electronic tool location tracking.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and data transacted in the daily performance of this positions responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years related cost estimation/sales administration experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical skills oral and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Experience with developing presentations for customers and management.
- Must be able to use the telephone and computer without assistance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Must be able to work under strict deadlines and communicate deadlines to others.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple large projects while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of injection molding painting and assembly in the automotive industry preferred.
- Must be able to travel as the position requires.
Education:
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering or Finance.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking for up to eight (8) hours a day the ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis. Good vision at a close distance is required. Must be capable of performing repetitive motion at above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours a day

You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with Decostar business operations. Training areas will include safety quality continuous improvement and other job specific training that is determined to be an essential part of your job and Decostar business operations.
