Job Summary

Ivy Tech Community College - Terre Haute Campus is recruiting for an Adjunct (Part time) instructor to teach HVAC at our Terre Haute Campus. These are in-person classes and could be during the day or evening. A qualified candidate will need to meet the education component of the School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & Applied Science discipline program standard which is listed in the Job Description.

A qualified faculty member meets the education component of the School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & Applied Science discipline program standard and when applicable program accreditation requirements through one of the following routes:

  • Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in technology engineering engineering technology; or an earned baccalaureate or higher degree directly related to the programs discipline and
  • Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements as applicable (see Appendix A - AMEAS Program Certification and Accreditation Requirements) and
  • Two years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

or

  • Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution and
  • Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements as applicable (see Appendix A - AMEAS Program Certification and Accreditation Requirements) and
  • Five years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

or

  • Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the programs discipline and
  • Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements as applicable (see Appendix A - AMEAS Program Certification and Accreditation Requirements) and
  • Three years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

or

  • Possesses a Department of Labor Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeymans card in the discipline directly related to credentials certifications and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR) and in journeyperson status for two years or more with experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR) and
