The Active Directory senior engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) environments. This role ensures secure scalable and compliant identity and access management across the organization.
Key responsibilities
Deploy and manage Active Directory infrastructure including domain controllers group policies and organizational units.
Deploy and manage 14 applications supporting Active Directory.
Update software and configurations to address vulnerabilities.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex AD issues including authentication replication and access control.
Develop update and enforce security standards for AD including privileged access management and audit logging.
Collaborate with IT cybersecurity and application teams to integrate AD with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance for AD operations and best practices.
Participate in compliance reviews and risk assessments related to identity and access management.
Manage workload in Jira using Agile principles.
Required qualifications
Extensive experience with Active Directory administration in large enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Group Policy DNS and related technologies.
Proven ability to design and implement secure AD architectures.
Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
Familiarity with IAM frameworks privileged access management and compliance requirements.
Preferred skills
Experience with Azure AD hybrid identity solutions and cloud integrations.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Experience with Microsoft HyperV Management.
