About the Position

Under general direction this position coordinates the day-to-day operations of accommodation implementation services for students registered with the Disability Access Center. The role focuses on organizing and tracking logistics for a variety of accommodations (such as notetaking support alternative furniture remote participation alternative testing and future services as program needs evolve) so that support is delivered accurately on time and in line with university and accommodation policies. The position maintains records and tracking tools collaborates with campus partners and supports student staff and front-desk operations as part of a broader accommodation services team. This is a strong early-career role for someone interested in disability access student services or higher education administration.

The StateHR classification for this position is Program Coordinator.

This is a full-time 10-month cyclic position.

Required Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent; and
  • Two years of experience in a relevant program area such as student services disability/access services higher education administration or a closely related field that includes coordination of activities or services or An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required program coordination skills and knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Excel for data tracking and Outlook for complex scheduling and within case management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex step-by-step procedural information clearly and empathetically to diverse stakeholders (students faculty and staff) both in person and via email
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift based on immediate student or program needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Education Business Administration or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Foundational understanding of the Social Model of Disability and the difference between access and success.
  • Familiarity with common assistive technologies (e.g. Kurzweil Dragon JAWS or Glean) and the basics of Document Remediation (OCR).
  • Familiarity with university structures specifically how a Disability Services Office interacts with the Registrar Facilities Contracts or IT.
