2nd shift CNC Lathe
Job Summary
Position Summary: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Pay Rate: $30.90-$32.57 plus $1.50 shift premium
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for production and prototype parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate tooling fixtures and cutting parameters.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers micrometers and other instruments to ensure tolerances.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineers for solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups production runs and inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Setup and run multiple machines concurrently
- Operate live tooling if applicable
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience operating CNC lathe machines.
- Proficiency in G-code and CNC controls (e.g. Fanuc Haas).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining processes materials and tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move medium-weight materials (20-30 lbs).
- Manual dexterity for precision tool work.
- Prolongedperiodsstanding or working at machinery.
