The Job

Please note this position requires you to work in-person Monday through Friday in Spokane Washington. We do not offer relocation expenses.

Marsh Agency is looking for an intellectual and motivated student to participate in our 2027 Summer Internship Program. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player and possess a desire to seek a future career within risk management.

As an intern you will spend time directly with a variety teams gaining exposure through various functional departments to learn about client service risk management operations sales business analytics and more. Interns will work on a variety of projects aimed to offer hands on experience to develop solutions for real world business problems.

What Youll Be Doing

• Real experience - No coffee fetching for you. Youll gain real world resume building experience. By the end of your internship youll have a better understanding of career options and relevant work experience to get you started.
• Partner with teams on creative and diverse projects to further develop and fulfill Marsh Agencys brand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the overall mission and vision of the Marsh Agency department youre working in.
• Provide meaningful and specific support to directors sales executives and client relations staff to further enhance new business and retention opportunities.
• Play an active role on the team: maintain positive relationships with colleagues. Youll grow your network by working closely with your manager mentor and other interns.
• Learning opportunities: Youll participate in several national and regional classes that introduce you to our industry and our organization. Theyre designed to set you up for success as an emerging professional and to help you better understand Marsh Agency and our industry.
• Cultivate industry relationships through opportunities to meet with a wide variety of our industry partners allowing you to grow your professional network.
• Paid internships: All work and no pay No thanks. Our internships pay for your hard work. Our hourly wage for this position is $18.85 per hour.
• Plus (the fine print): youll follow organization policies and procedures sales and service standards and established workflows. Youll ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance. Youll maintain confidentiality and be an all-around awesome member of our team.

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application and start date.
• All academic grades considered
• Applicants must have legal work authorization in the U.S.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $34100 to $62200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
