Job Summary
2027 OPERATIONS SUMMER ANALYST PROGRAM (BALTIMORE)
The Operations Division at Morgan Stanley is the front line of defense for the Firms financial and operational well-being and works closely with Sales & Trading Finance Legal and Technology to safeguard the Firms reputation and franchise. Operations executes the Firms institutional retail and asset management businesses by supporting and settling daily transactions devising and implementing effective controls developing strong client relationships and engaging with its business partners to enable development of new structures businesses and markets.
Summer Analysts will join us for a 10-week long Program beginning in June. The Program provides broad exposure to various functions across Operations and the financial services industry including a Firmwide orientation and on the job training. There will also be opportunities to engage with members of the Operations senior management team.
Training Program:
A scheduled summer of various trainings a speaker series networking and educational events intended to fully immerse Summer Analysts in Operations and the Firms culture.
Role and Responsibilities:
Collaborate across various Operations teams to evaluate and reengineer processes to drive greater operational efficiency
Obtain a broad understanding of Operations and its departmental interdependencies
Present to senior management
Partner with different business units to deliver exceptional service to our clients in the areas of trade capture clearance and settlement account opening cash management billing tax reporting and fraud monitoring
Partner with Technology to design manage and implement business process changes to streamline processes improve productivity and optimize operational efficiency
Effectively identify and mitigate operational risk while ensuring continued compliance with global regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain effective client relationships in order to deliver world class operational services
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Pursuing a Bachelors degree and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028
Excellent leadership analytical and communication skills
Team player who can work in a collaborative environment
Attention to detail exercise sound judgment and can handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong time management and multitasking skills and can handle multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadline
Problem solving skills and the ability to streamline processes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Positive can-do attitude and willingness to get the job done
Proactive motivated and possess poise and self-confidence

Application Process and Deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Expected base pay rate for the role will be $25.49 per hour at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
