The Consumer Banking and Lending organization delivers the essential banking and credit solutions customers rely on every dayfrom managing daily finances to financing major life purchases like homes cars and personal expenses. We support millions of consumers and small businesses through digital tools retail branches ATMs customer service centers and a broad lending portfolio.

Program Overview & what youll gain:

The Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) Internship Program is a 10week summer experience designed to introduce students to one of Wells Fargos most dynamic businesses. The program begins with a structured orientation followed by handson assignments and development opportunities that provide broad exposure to crossfunctional teams across Banking Lending and Business Services.

Throughout the program youll have the opportunity to join a team with a focus on Product Data Analytics Strategy or Risk Governance building practical experience while contributing to meaningful work across the business. Interns also benefit from mentorship targeted professional development and direct engagement with leaders. Highperforming interns may be considered for fulltime opportunities upon successful completion of the program. #earlycareers

In this role you will

• Receive formal onboarding and ongoing training to broaden professional and technical skills and business acumen across CBL

• Analyze data extract insights and present recommendations to team members and senior leaders.

• Contribute to customerfocused projects that streamline processes and identify best practices across multiple business areas.

• Gain exposure to strategy planning and project management with crossfunctional teams.

• Participate in an ongoing capstone project focused on solving a real business challenge culminating in a presentation of recommendations to senior leadership.

• Build your professional network through cohort activities collaboration with teammates and engagement with managers and business leaders.

Required Qualifications:

• 6 months of work experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education

Desired qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028.

• BA/BS degree candidate with a concentration in: Business Economics Data Science Quantitative Analytics Computer Science Mathematics Engineering Finance Entrepreneurship Management Information Systems Statistics (All majors welcome to apply).

• Demonstrated critical thinking and data analysis skills with a proven ability to quickly learn adapt to change and contribute to innovative initiatives.

• Ability to execute with urgency support business reporting and contribute to operational excellence with an enterprise mindset.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively and contribute to inclusive feedback-driven team environments.

• Ability to apply business and financial concepts to support decision-making and deliver excellent service through coursework internships or problem-solving experiences.

• Ability to act with integrity effectively manage risk and apply appropriate risk controls.

• Familiarity with AI tools and applying AI to coursework (e.g. Copilot NotebookLMor similar).

• Proficiency in any of these tools: Power Bi Tableau Alteryx Python SQL and/or other analytics tools.

• Successful completion of 2026 Consumer Banking and Lending Internship.

Pay Range:

• Charlotte NC: $40.87 - $40.87
