Summary
Responsibilities
- Traffic Order Making
- Support and execute the Traffic Order Making process from preparation to implementation.
- Prepare Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and related statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.
- Support and execute the Traffic Order Making process from preparation to implementation.
- Highway & Traffic Scheme Delivery
- Assist in the development and implementation of traffic and highway schemes.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide technical support to senior engineers and project managers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of traffic and highway schemes.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare reports correspondence consultation documents and technical records.
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation.
- Assist in report preparation for management committees and stakeholders.

- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal departments statutory consultees contractors and the public.
- Attend meetings consultations and stakeholder engagement events.
- Respond to enquiries related to traffic management and highway schemes.

- Data Management & Analysis
- Use IT systems to input maintain and analyze project data.
- Review plans drawings and technical information for service delivery.
- Contribute to performance monitoring and service improvement initiatives.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Traffic Engineering team.

Requirements
- Qualifications
- Essential: Qualification in Transportation Planning Civil Engineering Highway Engineering or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body.
- Essential: Qualification in Transportation Planning Civil Engineering Highway Engineering or a related discipline.
- Knowledge
- Essential: Understanding of traffic and highway engineering principles.
- Knowledge of Traffic Order Making processes and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of local authority highways and transport functions.
- Essential: Understanding of traffic and highway engineering principles.
- Experience
- Essential: Minimum of 2 years experience in traffic engineering highway engineering or a similar environment.
- Experience in supporting or delivering Traffic Order Making processes.
- Experience in a local authority consultancy or urban highways environment.
- Experience in preparing technical reports and project documentation.
- Essential: Minimum of 2 years experience in traffic engineering highway engineering or a similar environment.

Additional Information
- Temporary contract length to be confirmed
- Rate: 28.11 per hour (Umbrella)
- Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis
