Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Team Manager to lead a Family Help team providing management oversight supervision and support to Consultant Social Workers Social Workers and Outreach Family Support Workers. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality social work practice improving outcomes for children and young people and promoting a positive safe and effective working environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct line management to Consultant Social Workers Social Workers and Outreach Family Support Workers.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality child-focused social work practice across the team.
Oversee case management ensuring appropriate interventions are in place to improve outcomes for children young people and families.
Provide regular supervision guidance and management oversight to staff and supervisors.
Support Consultant Social Workers in carrying out their supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Social Work qualification (Degree DipSW CQSW or equivalent).
Registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory body.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Essentials:
Significant post-qualification experience within Childrens Social Care or Family Help Services.
Previous experience supervising mentoring or managing Social Work staff.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation policies and best practice.
Experience managing complex cases and providing professional oversight.
Ability to lead motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing performance attendance and staff wellbeing.
Strong decision-making problem-solving and risk management skills.
