Job Summary

We are working closely with Nottingham Community Housing Association to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 89.35- 118.43 per day

Summary:

The Support Worker provides person-centred care and support to individuals with mental health needs enabling them to live as independently as possible while maintaining dignity choice and wellbeing. The role supports service users in developing daily living skills managing personal wellbeing accessing community opportunities and making informed decisions about their lives. Working within the Care and Support service the post holder contributes to the delivery of care and support plans promotes independence safeguards vulnerable adults and supports a safe inclusive and recovery-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred care and support to service users promoting independence dignity choice and inclusion.
  • Assist service users in understanding and managing mental health needs and maintaining emotional wellbeing.
  • Support service users in accessing education employment training leisure opportunities and community activities.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures and maintain accurate medication records where required.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics or relevant practical experience in care and support settings.

Essentials:

  • Willingness to complete mandatory care safeguarding medication health and safety and mental health training.
  • Experience supporting individuals in care support housing community voluntary or customer-facing environments.
  • Experience encouraging independence and supporting people to achieve personal goals and outcomes.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
