Summary
  • The Fostering Recruitment Support Officer is a crucial position within the local authority dedicated to the recruitment and retention of foster carers in Cardiff. This role serves as the initial point of contact for individuals interested in fostering offering essential information guidance and support during the early stages of their fostering journey. The officers efforts are vital in ensuring a smooth and informed process for prospective foster carers contributing significantly to the communitys fostering needs.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for all fostering-related enquiries.
  • Respond to enquiries with professionalism sensitivity and promptness through various communication channels including telephone email social media and in-person interactions.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information regarding fostering eligibility criteria and the assessment process.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective foster carers throughout their application process.
  • Manage and monitor enquiries through the fostering recruitment pipeline.
Requirements:
Essential Experience Required
  • Experience working with children families young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Proven experience in providing advice guidance customer service or support to the public.
  • Experience in organizing and participating in community engagement events recruitment activities or promotional campaigns.
Essential Qualifications Required
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant professional qualification diploma or equivalent experience in Social Care Community Development Education Family Support Customer Services or a related field.
