We are looking foraversatile and drivenSenior Systems Engineertojoin our Engineering team inbuilding a best-in-class this roleyoulltackle complex large-scaletechnicalchallenges andplay a key rolein thearchitecture anddesignof low latencyplatformsbuildingautomateddeploymentsand toolingandoptimizingandmaintainingofourhigh-performanceglobaltrading ideal candidate will be self-motivated proactive and able to take ownership of projects and problemswith this role you will:

• Analyze complex technical problems and collaborateondesigning solutions for Akunas global Infrastructureplatform
• Drive projects and solutionsto completioninafast-pacedenvironment
• Design develop andmaintainorchestrationand configurationsolutions
• Collaborate withdevelopers and other infrastructure engineerstoresearchnew products and techniquesthat driveinnovation andimprove efficiency and performance in the environment
• Architect andmaintainmulti-vendor tier-based storage solutions
• Build outatest automation frameworkforsystemsperformance testing and tuning
• Create and institute process enforcement across environments
• Create tools thatassistteams tooptimizethe available infrastructure
• Develop andmaintaincomprehensive technical documentation including system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides
• Lead knowledge transfer sessions and mentor team members to ensure continuity and operational excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams tooptimizesystem performance security and reliability

Qualities that make great candidates:

• Degree in Computer Science Information Systemsora related field
• 5-7years of systems engineering experience(trading industry experience astrongplus)
• Advanced Linux knowledge includingbut not limited tokernel bypass kernel tuningand customizing kernels
• Deep understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies
• Extensive experience with a variety of Linux distributions (RedHatUbuntuetc.)
• Deep understanding ofsystem monitoring and configuration management tools (AnsibleForemanPrometheusandIcinga/Nagios)
• Proficiencyin scripting andusingautomation and orchestration tools such as Python and Bash
• Expertiseintroubleshooting multicast and TCPrelated performance issues
• Experience automating daily software and hardware related tasks
• Demonstrated ability to lead large technical projects
• Experience with automating infrastructure builds such asPreseedNetBoot AnacondaKickstartand Ansible customization
• Familiarity withgitor a similar version control tool
• Working knowledge of database systems including PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Familiarity withWindows environmentsis a plus
• Experienceworkingwith SOAP and REST APIs a plus
• The ability to react quickly and accurately to rapidly changing market conditions including the ability to quickly and accurately respond and/or solve math and coding problems are essential functions of the role
