Partners in Support are recruiting Senior Support Workers / Team Leaders (Lead Support Workers) to support adults with learning disabilities and autism.
This is an opportunity for experienced Support Workers to step into a leadership role combining hands-on support with responsibility for guiding and developing a staff team.
As a Senior Support Worker you will play a key role in supporting the Locality Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred support. You will help shape the service role model best practice and contribute to positive outcomes for the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality person-centred support
- Conduct supervisions observations and support staff development
- Support rota coordination and day-to-day service operations
- Role model best practice and positive support approaches
- Work closely with the Locality Manager to maintain service standards
- Build strong relationships with individuals families and professionals
- Promote independence choice and wellbeing for those we support
- Support with medication processes and ensure compliance with policies
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 1 years experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Passion for empowering people and delivering person-centred support
- Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in challenging situations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with families and professionals
- Experience supporting or guiding other staff (formal or informal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred (depending on service needs)
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends evenings bank holidays and sleep-ins
