Senior Residential Support Worker
Job Summary
Location: Alsager
Salary: 35731.88 per annum (increasing to 37399.38 per annum from 1st August 2026)
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Four-week rolling rota. Typical shifts are 7:00am3:00pm and 2:30pm10:30pm. Weekend working required.
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: 8 sleep-ins per rota for full-time employees (6 for part-time employees)
Service: Childrens Home
Service Users: Children and young people aged 818 years
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
Experience Required: Experience working with children in a residential setting

Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Childrens Residential Care Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working with children in a residential setting
Hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have access to a vehicle insured for business use
Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
Have a strong understanding of safeguarding risk assessment and child-centred care
Be confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key responsibilities include:
Providing direct care and support to children and young people
Ensuring the safety welfare and well-being of children in the home
Developing and implementing individualised care plans
Supporting children to attend appointments and activities
Maintaining accurate records and documentation using IT systems
Working collaboratively with colleagues families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
