Job Summary

A secondary school in Hammersmith Hammersmith and Fulham is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across the school. This is a good fit for someone who can support pupils without needing constant direction. This is a long-term role starting in September 2026 with strong potential to continue across the academic year. This role is ideal for someone who can support learning manage pupil relationships professionally and help students access the classroom without adding pressure to teachers. Postgraduate qualification or accredited training in SEND (e.g. National Award for SEN Coordination Autism Education Trust dyslexia/SpLD or SEMH)Proficiency in alternative/augmentative communication methodsMakaton PECS AAC using evidence-based interventions such as TEACCH SCERTS or Positive Behaviour in Team-Teach MAPA or similar de-escalation and safe-handling with assistive ed-tech tools and adaptive software
