About The Role

Location: Hatfield or Liverpool (Hybrid)

Reports to: Commercial Director

The Sales Development Manager drives business growth through acquiring new clients.


Who We Are Looking For

  • Proven Sales:Strong background in B2B sales (private & Local Authorities)
  • Target-Driven Mindset:Comfortable in a highly targeted sales-driven environment
  • Consultative Communication:Exceptional ability to build rapid rapport listen actively and influence decision-makers
  • Data & Forecast Literacy:Experienced with pipeline reporting activity metrics tracking and sales forecasting to drive strategic decisions


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales process for new business-prospecting pitch development tender responses negotiation and close-across local authority and private operator segments.
  • Own and deliver an annual new business revenue targetmaintaininga disciplined accurately forecast pipeline in CRM.
  • Build and own the target account plan for strategic must winprospects andlead its execution.
  • Lead bid and tender responses for public sector opportunitiesleveragingestablished procurement routes including G-Cloud and relevant frameworks.
  • Drive competitive displacement through the National Parking Platform targeting competitor-held local authorities and ensuring they are added to the NPP at the earliest opportunity.
  • Work with the wider UK Commercial team to execute the off-street strategy locally including ANPR-enabled car park opportunities.
  • RepresentPayByPhoneat key industry events agreed with the Head of New Business ensuring strong and visible market presence.
  • Feed structured market client and competitor insight into the Product and Tech teams to help shape the UK product roadmap.
  • Monitor developing trends across existing markets and adjacent sectorsidentifyingemerging opportunities for new productsservicesand markets and regularly briefing the commercial leadership team on opportunities and threats.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the parking or mobility industry in a similar role
  • Experience of achieving challenging commercial targets
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as the business demands occasionally abroad
  • Experience of local authority RFPs
  • Comfortable with computer tools like MS Office Teams Salesforce etc.
  • Self-starting and driven with a proven track record of exceeding targets in a sales-driven environment
  • Able to identify revenue opportunities and propose solutions that deliver win-win outcomes for the business and the client
  • A natural rapport builder who communicates effectively across teams cultures suppliers and clients
  • Solution-oriented with an inquisitive mindset that asks questions and constructively challenges others
  • Strong self-management with the ability to hold others accountable for delivering to targets


What We Offer

Compensation: The expected salary range for this role is 50000 - 60000 plus commission and car allowance. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience skills qualifications and internal equity.
