Job Summary

Registered Manager Childrens Residential (Learning Disabilities)

Location: Little Hulton Manchester (M38)
Salary: Up to 65000 per annum
Working Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week (Monday Friday)
Employment Type: Permanent

Service: Childrens Home (New Provision)
Number of Beds: 5-bed home (opening initially as a solo service)
Service Users: Young People (717) with Learning Disabilities (LD)

Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred. Strong Level 3 candidates willing to complete Level 5 may also be considered.

Experience Required: Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted-regulated childrens home. Previous experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD) is essential.

The Home

Location: Little Hulton Manchester (M38)

This newly developed childrens home will initially open as a solo service before increasing occupancy where appropriate. While the home is registered for up to five young people occupancy will always reflect the complexity of the young persons needs and the required staffing ratios.

The service is designed to provide high-quality residential care for children and young people with Learning Disabilities within a safe nurturing and therapeutic environment.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and excited by the opportunity to establish a new home.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted-regulated childrens home.
  • Previous experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities.
  • Excellent understanding of Ofsted standards and safeguarding.
  • The ability to recruit develop and lead a successful team.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • A child-focused approach with high professional standards.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Previous experience completing SC1/SC2 applications is not required as full support will be provided during the registration process.
