What impact will I make

• Build and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team creating a culture of accountability development and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety quality and customer standards including HACCP GMP BRC and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inspections audits and product assessments across raw materials production processes and finished goods.
• Lead investigations into quality concerns customer complaints and non-conformances identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Use quality data and performance metrics to identify trends reduce defects and improve product consistency.
• Partner with Production and Operational teams to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the manufacturing process and maintained during internal and external audits.

What will help me succeed

• Experience working within a Quality Assurance role in a food manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership supervisory or team development experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations quality management systems and auditing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards including HACCP GMP BRC and ISO.
• Experience investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to analyse quality data and use insights to drive improvements.
• Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Qualification in Food Science Microbiology or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• HACCP SQF Practitioner or other food safety or quality management certification.
• Experience within a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
