What to expect

The Portfolio Performance Manager is accountable for strengthening portfolio-level performance discipline across Post Office Insurance ensuring that commercial decisions consistently deliver sustainable profit policy growth and demonstrable fair value outcomes.

The role plays a critical part in the firms ability to meet its Consumer Duty obligations with particular emphasis on PROD 4 product governance requirements and GIPP expectations.

Operating as a senior subject-matter expert rather than a people-leadership role the Portfolio Performance Manager brings clarity challenge and assurance across the end-to-end portfolio. What youll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in insurance financial services or a similarly complex regulated addition to this you will have;

  • Strong understanding of insurance economics including pricing loss ratio margin volume and lifetime value dynamics.
  • Proven experience in portfolio-level performance analysis within insurance financial services or a regulated environment.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear commercial insight.
  • Solid understanding of FCA Consumer Duty requirements particularly Fair Value.
  • Experience supporting governance forums with clear evidence-based assurance on performance and value outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively alongside Pricing Product Trading Finance and Risk teams.
  • Confident in challenging constructively and operating as an expert advisor.
  • Degreelevel qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics finance data actuarial or commercial analysis).
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CII actuarial finance or analytics) desirable but not essential.
