Rate of Pay: 15.20 - 19.26 per hour
Summary:
Were looking for an experienced Planning Officer to join Rugby Borough Councils Development Management Team. Youll manage and determine a range of planning applications and consents provide professional planning advice support planning appeals and contribute to delivering high-quality development across the borough in line with local and national planning policies.
Responsibilities:
Determine a range of planning applications Listed Building Consents Advertisement Consents Certificates of Lawfulness and Prior Approval submissions
Provide pre-application advice to applicants developers and stakeholders
Prepare and present reports to Planning Committee
Manage planning appeals and assist with appeal statements and evidence
Undertake site visits investigations and assessments
Qualifications:
Degree in Town Planning or a related planning qualification
Essential Requirements:
Experience working within the UK planning system either in a local authority or private practice
Knowledge of current UK planning legislation and development management processes
Experience determining planning applications and dealing with planning appeals
Strong report writing assessment and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and planning-related systems
Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle for business use
