Occupational Therapist Major Adaptations

Liquid Personnel is looking to appoint an experiencedOccupational Therapist to join its client Adult Community OT (ACOT) Servicewithin theMajor Adaptations Unit in TheLondon Borough of Croydon

This is a specialist role focused oncomplex adaptations and equipment managing cases from assessment through to completion of works.

What will your responsibilities be

• Undertakehome visitsto assess complex needs and review recommendations from locality teams
• Provide detailed recommendations formajor adaptations and specialist equipment
• Preparesketches specifications and technical reportsfor major works
• Interpret housing plans and designs for adaptations
• Liaise withcontractors housing teams and partner agenciesto deliver adaptations
• Oversee cases through tocompletion of works
• Completemanual handling assessmentswhere required
• Maintain accurate and compliant case records

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have

• Qualified Occupational Therapist withHCPC registration
• Strong experience in:
  • Major adaptations (DFG)
  • Specialist equipment provision
  • Manual handling assessments
• Ability to:
  • Producetechnical specifications and reports
  • Read and interpretarchitectural drawings/plans
  • Manage cases from assessment through to completion

Desirable:

• Previous experience within aLocal Authority OT service
• Experience working withinMajor Adaptations or Housing teams
