What Our Client Is Looking For
Previous experience as a chef within a nursery or similar early years setting -essential
Strong knowledge of allergen management dietary requirements and nutrition for young children
Organised reliable and comfortable taking ownership of the kitchen independently
A warm positive approach that fits naturally into a nursery environment
Genuine care for the health and wellbeing of the children you cook for

Key Responsibilities
Preparing and serving fresh balanced and age-appropriate meals in line with the nurserys nutritional guidance for under-fives
Ensuring all meals are prepared in full accordance with each childs documented allergy and dietary requirements
Implementing rigorous processes to prevent cross-contamination including clearly labelled separate utensils and preparation areas
Maintaining a safe clean and hygienic kitchen at all times meeting all food hygiene and Health & Safety standards
Managing stock levels ordering and supplier relationships to keep the kitchen running smoothly
Maintaining accurate records relating to food preparation cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance
Working collaboratively with the nursery team contributing to the warm and caring ethos of the setting
