Job Summary
Location: Bromley Kent (covering 4 Waitrose and John Lewis sites)
Pay Rate: 19.00 per hour PAYE
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: Immediate start through to 9th October 2026
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider supporting four retail locations across the Bromley area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and versatile engineer with experience across building maintenance disciplines to work within a well-established facilities team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across multiple retail sites
- Conducting routine fire alarm testing
- Completing water hygiene tasks including water flushing and temperature monitoring
- Responding to reactive maintenance call-outs
- Undertaking general building fabric repairs and maintenance
- Carrying out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Performing mechanical maintenance tasks
- Completing minor electrical maintenance and repairs
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Engineer within facilities management building services or maintenance
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Knowledge of basic electrical mechanical plumbing and fabric maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Skills
- Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience working within retail environments
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety requirements
