Lead Technical Writer

As a Lead Technical Writer within the Service Documentation Department you play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality technical documentation across Vattenfalls offshore wind portfolio.

In this role you work closely with the Head of Service Documentation and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure documentation is clear consistent and fit for purpose. You support both the operational delivery and the ongoing development of the function helping to improve processes tools and standards.

With your strong technical understanding and structured approach you connect documentation across maintenance strategies and ensure it is practical accessible and valuable for site teams.

In this role you will:

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Service Documentation to plan and coordinate documentation activities
• Guide and support documentation workstreams across projects and operational needs
• Contribute to resource planning prioritisation and continuous improvement of the function
• Deliver and maintain high-quality standardised documentation
• Work with Engineering Operations and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope timelines and quality
• Support the translation of business needs into clear contractual and supplier requirements
• Help evaluate supplier deliverables and ensure they meet agreed standards
• Contribute to developing and improving processes governance and ways of working

Qualifications :

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative forward-thinking approach:

• A strong technical background (e.g. mechanical marine or electrical engineering)
• Experience in offshore wind offshore construction or a similar environment
• Experience in planning coordination or guiding initiatives
• Good understanding of O&M documentation and maintenance strategies
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A structured proactive mindset with the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes
