Junior Sous Chef

STK Stratford is seeking a passionate and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade.

Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef you will help lead the kitchen team maintain exceptional food standards and deliver the high-quality dining experience that STK is renowned for.

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service ensuring efficient operations.
• Prepare and present dishes to STKs high standards of quality and consistency.
• Supervise coach and develop junior members of the kitchen brigade.
• Monitor food quality portion control and presentation.
• Assist with stock control ordering stock rotation and minimising waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
• Support menu development and contribute new ideas where appropriate.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef within a busy high-volume restaurant or premium hospitality venue.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation kitchen operations and food safety.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing others.
• A positive attitude excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
• Flexibility to work evenings weekends and public holidays.
