Software Engineer Parkdean Resorts Remote (UK)Were building something that matters. Every booking every search every confirmation email. Thats the sit inside a squad alongside Test Engineers Product and Delivery reporting to a Lead Software Engineer who sets the technical bar and works hands-on alongside you. Youll take features from refinement through to production: designing the change writing the code testing it getting it reviewed and seeing it is product engineering not corporate IT. Youll be working on the customer-facing websites the booking platform integrations with Salesforce and the systems that hold it all together. Platform infrastructure and CI/CD tooling are owned by our Cloud & Platform function so your focus stays where it should: on the application code the tests around it and the squad you work with youll doBuild features that customers actually useProduction code as the core of the role: features fixes integrations and improvements across our web taken from refinement through to primarily in C# / .NET React SQL Server and Azure application responsibility for qualityCode thats readable tested secure and easy to support in tests appropriate to the risk and complexity of the change. The goal is protection against regression and confidence to how the squad worksTechnical design conversations for the stories you own with the Lead Software implications of requirements early in refinement before a sprint of building the wrong technical debt fragility and risk where you see behind what youve builtParticipate in the out-of-hours rota for critical incident and remediate application-level incidents in your squads to post-incident reviews focused on what the system allowed to happen rather than who to StackEssential:C# / .NET with production production experience in a component-based JavaScript framework (most likely sometimes React or ).SQL Server including writing queries understanding indexes and diagnosing slow / Azure Repos and code review as part of daily testing with judgement about when integration and end-to-end tests belong alongside unit :Sitecore CMS or equivalent e-commerce as an integration automation frameworks such as Cypress Selenium or application services (App Services Functions App Insights Key Vault).Regulated or compliance-aware environments (PCI GDPR).Legacy stacks such as Classic ASP and the patience to work with them constructively when we need from youAt least three years of commercial experience writing production code in a modern web stack. Comfortable owning a story from refinement through to production with minimal handholding. Someone who reviews code seriously writes tests that protect against regression and raises problems rather than working around role is best suited to engineers who care about how software is built.
