Black Point Inn is now hiring Full and Part TimeHousekeeping Associates for the 2026 season. This position involves dailycleaning of the Inns public spaces and guests rooms as well as interactionwith guests regarding their needs. Our ideal candidate is friendly dependableenergetic detail-oriented and enthusiastic about providing an exceptionallevel of service. Prior experience is not required but preferred. Trainingwill be provided.

Location: Black Point Inn Scarborough ME
Hours: Full-time & part-time available; Seasonal work throughOctober
Compensation: $18 to $22 an hour.
Start date: 05/01/2026

Experience:Previous hospitality experience preferred but notrequired we will train the right candidate.

JOB SUMMARY:

Members of our Housekeeping Team work together to guaranteeour guests clean spaces which will exceed their expectations. Workingalone or with a partner each Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness ofguest rooms hallways activity areas and public spaces on the responsibilities include servicing accommodations according to propertyprocedures stocking housekeeping carts replacing bed linens and supplyingguest room amenities. This position requires strong attention to detailand the ability to work without constant direct supervision.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain a neat and professional appearance with a properlycleaned uniform.

Using provided supplies efficiently and effectively cleanand maintain guest rooms and public spaces. This includes but is notlimited to making beds changing bed linens cleaning bathrooms supplyingamenities dusting vacuuming mopping sweeping washing windows replacinglight bulbs folding linens as well as removing dirty linens towels garbageand recycling all with attention to detail and to the standards set byproperty management.

Must work with a variety of cleaning chemicals followingappropriate directions and in accordance with OSHA and State of Maineregulations.

Must be able to push cleaning cart with supplies andequipment on both inside and outside surfaces. Work with colleagues tokeep storage areas clean and supplied.

Greeting guests warmly and politely using discretion toavoid disturbing guests in rooms or public spaces. Understand howeverything operates in guest rooms (climate control fans lighting etc) andbe able to explain operation to our guests.

Responsible for security of any room or supply closet keysas well as for respecting the personal property and privacy of guests whileworking in guest rooms.

Be prepared to answer basic questions about the propertyactivities etc. or know where to refer guests for answers.

Work with other members of the Housekeeping Team to ensurethat guests needs are continually met. Make front desk staff aware of anyspecial needs so that notes can be made for future visits.

Handle and communicate guest requests special needs guestroom or public space maintenance issuesand guest complaints in aprofessional manner.

Label and submit all lost and found items according toproperty procedures.

Understand personal sanitation the use of personalprotective equipment and how to handle unsanitary linens bodily fluidsetc. Be aware of ways to prevent personal injury from improper reachinglifting stretching and carrying.

Know who to notify in case of broken equipment orunsafe/unsanitary conditions.

Manually handle/lift/carry products up to 60 pounds betweenknee and shoulders.

Must have bilateral fine manipulation of both hands whichmay be repetitive for entire shift.

Must be vertically mobile working in limited space forentire shift.
