The Head of IT Software Assets and Supplier Management will lead the strategy and governance of all third-party software and IT supplier relationships. This role ensures the Post Office maximises value maintains licence compliance and delivers effective supplier management aligned to technology and commercial priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end software lifecycle strategy (demand procurement onboarding optimisation retirement)
- Lead how technology teams consume and extract value from third-party software and partners
- Drive value compliance and optimisation across the software estate
- Partner with Procurement Finance Legal Risk Service Engineering and Product teams to ensure a joined-up approach
- Embed best practice supplier and software asset management across the organisation

- Significant experience leading Software Asset Management IT Supplier Management or IT Asset Governance within a large complex organisation
- Proven track record managing complex supplier ecosystems and multi-million-pound software licensing portfolios
- Experience designing and delivering software lifecycle processes and transformation programmes
- Strong commercial acumen including supplier negotiation and partnership with Procurement and Finance
- Good understanding of IT service management product delivery architecture and engineering functions
