The Head of IT Platforms is the operational and strategic owner for the organisations core insurance broker platform ecosystem including the Policy Administration System (PAS) digital insurance product platforms integrations and associated data flows.
The role is responsible for the performance governance optimisation and roadmap delivery of platform outsource partners and technology suppliers ensuring that platforms remain resilient secure commercially effective and aligned to business and customer needs.
You will lead a lean but highly experienced team of platform insurance product delivery and change specialists; acting as the primary technology partner to the business for platform change insurance product enablement integrations and platform lifecycle management.
The Head of IT Platforms will ensure the platform ecosystem including partner managed services operates reliably securely and in alignment with regulatory obligations; maintaining a robust cyber and operational risk role offers you an incredible opportunity to join Post Office Insurance at the start of an ambitious period of growth.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing insurance platform migration transformation and operation in an insurance broker organisation for personal lines products (preferably including Travel and Home). In addition to this you will have;
- Strong understanding and experience of insurance broker and distribution processes
- Proven experience managing outsourced platform providers (including specialised insurance software houses) and technology delivery partners within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of platform governance change management release management and operational resilience practices.
- Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements Consumer Duty GDPR and operational resilience frameworks.
- Experience operating within agile and product-oriented delivery models preferred.
- Experience of working within an insurance platform software house beneficial.
