This role includes preparing fresh nutritious meals for up to 72 as well assupporting the catering for the homes events and celebrations. Its a40hour contract at 35000 per annumwith07:3017:30 shiftsno late nights andalternate weekends giving you the work/life balance most chefs only dream of.

Guiseley Manor Care Home is a purpose-built 72 care home facility and is situated in the town of Guiseley in the heart of west Yorkshire Leeds. The home provides the highest standards of safety comfort and care to 72 residents who have a variety of care needs. We offer residential nursing and dementia care. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.



Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that menus are presented and displayed in a way that residents can understand them and make daily choice on what they wish to ear during the day.
  • Ensure that meals are provided in sufficient quantitiestaking into accountthe diets to meet medicalethnicand personal needs and preferences.
  • Ensure all food is nutritionally balanced attractively presented for servicein a timely mannerand in the correct sequence.
  • Understandfollowand adhere to company HACCP ensuring full compliance.
  • Ensure that the kitchen and serving areas are clean and hygienic andmaintaina high standard of infection control and adhere to the Food Standards Act1999 andensuring cleaning rotas are adhered to and records kept.
  • Manageallocatedutiesand supervise the kitchen team ensuring a quality delivery of services.
  • Inspire and motivate the team produce food to the expectedhigh standards.
  • Take part in recruitment of the kitchen staff with the Home Manager.


Skills and experience required:

  • To be able to work independently and organise other members of the kitchen team is essential.
  • Experience of working during busy meal periods including breakfast and evening meal service is essential.
  • Experience of working in a care home or similar is essential.
  • Knowledge of specialised diets and service delivery is essential.
  • Ability to contribute and develop thefour weekmenu is essential.
  • Ability to complete recordsdemonstratingadherence to legal requirements is essential.
