Summary:
Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking an experienced Greenspaces & Projects Officer (Parks & Events) to support the delivery of high-profile environmental parks play and community projects across both authorities. This role offers the opportunity to lead capital investment programmes manage Section 106 funding and deliver visible improvements that enhance local communities and public spaces.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development management and delivery of capital investment programmes.
Manage Section 106 funding projects from feasibility through to completion.
Project manage internal and external contractor works ensuring quality value for money and timely delivery.
Support the achievement of Green Flag standards across parks and open spaces.
Lead and contribute to external funding bids and service improvement initiatives.
Essentials:
Relevant professional qualification in a related discipline or equivalent mid-to-senior level experience.
Full UK driving licence and access to transport (if required for the role).
Proven experience in project management and capital project delivery.
Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
Experience working within a local authority or similar public/community sector environment.

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
