What to expect
As the Engineering Director youll play a critical role in shaping and delivering the Post Offices technology platforms ensuring they are secure resilient and aligned to business and customer outcomes. You will lead a team of engineers within a product-led environment youll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery operation and evolution of key platforms across our technology estate.
Working closely with Product Architecture and wider Technology teams youll drive a focus on value outcomes and customer impactbalancing the delivery of complex change with the stability of live services.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you will influence technology strategy provide technical oversight and build strong relationships across the organisation a really unique opportunityto make a tangible impact drive innovation and help shape the future of Post Office technology.

What youll need to succeed
To be successful in this role youll be an experienced engineering leader with a strong track record of delivering complex business-critical platforms.
You will also:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams at scale (c.1525 engineers)
- Operate effectively within product-led or product-aligned delivery models
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership with the ability to challenge and guide engineering decisions
- Drive operational resilience service performance and continuous improvement
- Influence and engage senior stakeholders across complex organisations
- Promote modern engineering practices including DevOps CI/CD and cloud-based solutions
